It’s Friday….Friday, but I can’t hear that catchy hook coming out of my computer’s speakers.
It was sad news this morning, when I heard on the radio that YouTube removed Rebecca Black’s viral music video sensation “Friday” from their site. YouTube pulled the video after a request by representatives of Black because of a conflict with the recording studio, Ark Music Factory. The copyright dispute came after a decision by Ark to start charging a $2.99 rental fee for the popular video using YouTube Rentals.
This is a great example of what not to do with a successful viral video.
Ironic the video was taken down on a Friday…Friday.
